NotaryCam has been offering eNotary software and services since 2012, shortly after the Commonwealth of Virginia's remote online notary law went into effect. Since then we've facilitated over 125,000 online notarizations for people in every state and over 70 countries. We recommend notaries acquire their digital certificate from IdenTrust. This digital certificate will be added to your NotaryCam account and used by you to sign and seal documents you eNotarize. This will tamper-seal the document, so any recipient can tell if it's been modified, and confirm the identity of the notary.
Choosing Your Certificate
If you are a notary using NotaryCam, IdenTrust offers our IGC Notaries | Basic Assurance | Individual Identity | Software Storage certificate to use for digital signing and electronic notarization, when acting as a NotaryCam agent.
A notary public is required to have and use an identity-based digital certificate to digitally sign and seal each notarized document. Once a digital signature is applied, the electronic document is encrypted so that it cannot be modified; thereby protecting against digital tampering and creating a non-repudiable legally binding document, in which relying parties can trust. Simply select "BUY NOW" and the IdenTrust Certificate Selection Wizard will assist you in choosing a certificate that is accepted by NotaryCam to meet your business needs.
Your digital certificate can also be used to secure your email communications through digital signing and encryption. Applications for IGC Notaries | Basic Assurance | Individual Identity | Software Storage certificates use an automated process that usually takes 24-48 hours.
