Partner Bio

NextGen Healthcare has partnered with IdenTrust to provide identity proofing and issuance of hardware two-factor authentication tokens necessary for EPCS and issuance of digital certificates used to digitally sign and electronically send DEA prescriptions.

NextGen Ambulatory EHR offers an electronic prescribing and medication management solution to provide an easy, convenient - and now profitable - answer to this problem.

Choosing Your Certificate

For Identity-Proofing Only

If you will be using non-IdenTrust credentials for EPCS prescribing, you are required to use an IGC Basic Assurance with Software certificate in order to accomplish DEA-compliant identity proofing. You can select this certificate option when you choose BUY NOW to access the Certificate Selection Wizard.

For IdenTrust EPCS Credentials

The EPCS Prescriber with Mobile Authentication (Software) credential includes both identity proofing in the form of a software certificate issuance process, and the ability to authenticate via a mobile application for EPCS.  Upon completion of the certificate application and retrieval process you will be able to manager your EPCS Prescriber devices via your web browser on the IdenTrust web site.

Note, this option is only supported in NextGen EHR v5.9.3 or later.

You may choose this certificate option when you choose BUY NOW to access the Certificate Selection Wizard.

Important Information

In the case where hardware is issued, ONLY THE SUBSCRIBER OF THE CERTIFICATE SHOULD HAVE EXCLUSIVE USE OF THEIR TOKEN – In all cases, THE DIGITAL CERTIFICATE IS YOUR FORM OF IDENTIFICATION, SIMILAR TO YOUR PASSPORT OR DRIVER’S LICENSE. Under the IGC Certificate Policy, it is our responsibility as an Authorized Certification Authority to revoke the certificate in a case of hardware loss or disclosure or compromise of the private key or any certificate related password to anyone other than the subscriber.
