 How the Process Works

The application process for a digital certificate requires minimal time to accomplish. For all certificates the following information is required:
  • Name
  • Former last name (if changed in the last six months)
  • Home address
  • Social Security Number
  • Date of Birth
  • Driver's license number
  • E-mail address
  • Work and home phone numbers
The process will follow the steps listed below:
  • Determine which digital certificate you need. View Certificate Types.
  • Fill out an online application form and pay for your digital certificate. View pricing info - View payment info.
  • High Assurance digital certificate applicants need to send in notary form.
  • Wait for approval (usually one to two business days).
  • Receive a IdenTrust Welcome Kit in the mail (usually 3 to 4 business days after approval).
  • Return to the website and retrieve your digital certificate.
