What is the error "Platform Exception: Key set does not exist"?
This error is an indication that the certificate has become corrupt. Please follow the directions on our "How do I replace my certificate" FAQ to replace your certificate. If the certificate replacement is unsuccessful, please contact IdenTrust Technical Support.

What is the Crypto API Private Key?
The Crypto API Private Key is a password you created during the retrieval of your certificate. IdenTrust does not have access to this password.

What do I do if I forget my Private Key?
If you have forgotten your private key, you will need to replace your certificate.

When I open the LM2 form, the signature(s) have disappeared.
This can depend on a couple of things. You will need to ensure that both signers are using the same version of Adobe Reader. You can download Adobe Reader for free here.

If both signers are using the same version of Adobe Reader, check to make sure the correct file was sent to you.

If you have verified the correct file was sent to you and the signature is still missing, it seems to work best to sign the document on one computer. The FAQ for transferring a certificate to another computer can be found here.

Why can’t I submit my document once it has been signed?
Check the signatures for blue question marks. If the signatures contain a question mark instead of a green check mark, the signatures on the document need to be added to the Trusted Identities in Adobe Reader. See instructions below for your version of Adobe.

Adobe Reader 6.x
1. Click on the signature and select Signature Properties
2. Click on Trust Identity
3. Click OK on the Certificate Security - Alert screen
4. Check all boxes at the bottom of the Import Contact Settings window
5. Click Import
6. Click OK
7. Click the Verify Signature on the Signature Properties window.
8. Then click Close
9. Repeat as necessary for each signature

Adobe Reader 7.x & 8.x
1. Click on the signature and select Signature Properties
2. Click on Show Certificate
3. Click on the Trust tab
4. Click on top certificate on the left hand side above your name (DST ACES Root CA X6)
5. Click on Add to Trusted Identies
6. Click OK on the Acrobat Security window
7. Check all the boxes on the Import Contact Settings
8. Click OK
9. Click OK again
10. Click on Verify Signature then click Close
11. If the other signature has a blue question mark, click on it
12 Select Signature Properties
13 Click on Verify Signature then click Close

After both signatures have been verified and have green check marks, you should be able to hit the Submit at the bottom of the first page. Follow the instructions on the website to upload your LM2 form to the Department of Labor.
