Identrus™ and Ascertia to Offer Internet Security Solutions to Identrus Member Banks
Companies form strategic alliance to offer Ascertia's SignEZee™ and ARP™
Ascertia Ltd, a leading provider of digital signature and electronic identity validation solutions, and Identrus LLC, today announced that they have formed a global strategic alliance to promote Ascertia's SignEZee™ and ARP™ Internet security products to Identrus member financial institutions. To obtain Identrus Compliant Program certification, Ascertia's SignEZee and ARP passed the Identrus security requirements review for secure signing and online certificate validation.
SignEZee is a simple to use file security product, which allows users to apply advanced digital signatures and/or encryption to files of any format or even folders, with a simple right-click operation. It fits neatly with Identrus' requirements for providing member institutions with easy-to-implement, cost-effective business solutions using digital certificates.
The Agreement also covers Ascertia's latest central management and policy control products - TrustConsole™ and live PolicyUpdate™. These new products enhance Ascertia•s reputation for creating easy-to-use and manage products. They enable silent installation with fully pre-configured options for end-users. Importantly where a corporate security policy needs to change and a few hundred or thousands of users already exist, this new management option allows security managers to update the local policy files using a simple, silent and secure process.

About Ascertia products covered by this agreement:
- SignEZee – a unique standalone application which allows you to sign and/or encrypt files of any format. Using SignEZee you can choose to protect single files, multiple files or whole folders before transmitting over the Internet. Verification of files at the receiving end is just as simple and secure with real-time digital identity validation. File compression is provided automatically, as are other user friendly features such as hand-signature imaging and workflow capability which allows original author to identify future users who can countersign the same document(s). SignEZee fully supports the Identrus trust infrastructure and associated operating rules, including smartcard-based and certificate policy processing.
- Advanced Revocation Provider (ARP) – a complete OCSP client plug-in, which automatically updates Microsoft PKI applications (like Internet Explorer and Outlook) to validate digital credentials in real time against any Identrus Validation Authority. A full history of all OCSP transactions is maintained as an audit trail for dispute resolution. ARP supports full Identrus certificate validation requirements, the lightweight OCSP profile and is also suitable for any bespoke application which utilizes digital certificates and requires advanced OCSP support.
- TrustConsole™ and PolicyUpdate™ – a management console which allows the administrator to create, sign and enforce company-wide security policy for all Ascertia desktop products. The policy files contain all settings and product configuration. Furthermore administrator can define policy lockdown features to avoid mis-configuring by end-users thus minimize user training and helpdesk support. PolicyUpdate‹ allows live updates to the organization•s security policy to be silently and securely distributed to rolled-out users.
