appreciate your willingness to serve your company as a Trusted Correspondent and
assist in the issuance of Department of Defense (DoD) ECA Business Representative
digital certificates to individuals such as employees, officers, and agents authorized to
act on behalf of your company.
Simple 5-Step Application Process
To become a Department of Defense External Certification Authority Trusted Correspondent
for IdenTrust, you must demonstrate that your company has authorized you for the
role, and you must apply for and receive your own DOD Business Representative certificate.
Simply follow these steps:
Step 1: Trusted Correspondent Authorization Agreement
Complete "Trusted Correspondent Addendum to Subscribing Organization
Authorization Agreement" form and take it to an officer in your organization who can sign
on behalf of your organization and represent to IdenTrust that you are authorized to
electronically submit bulk loads and business agreement forms. Have them sign it and
return it to you for submission to IdenTrust.
Step 2: Subscribing Organization Authorization Agreement
Complete "Subscribing Organization Authorization Agreement" form and take it
to an officer in your organization who can sign on behalf of your organization and represent
to IdenTrust that you are a duly-authorized representative of the organization, have
them sign it and return it to you for submission to IdenTrust.
Step 3: In Person Identification Form
Complete "In Person Identification" form. Send all three signed originals dcouments:
1) Trusted Correspondent Addendum to Subscribing Organization Authorization Agreement,
2) Subscribing Organization Authorization Agreement, and
3) In Person Identification to IdenTrust at the address below:

Step 4: Online Application
Apply for your DOD ECA Digital Certificate at: www.IdenTrust.com/certificates/eca/
Step 5: Approval Letter
Await your "Approval Letter" which will be mailed to you at the address you
indicated on the application.
